Immaculate Grid nailed the formula: one puzzle a day, nine guesses, and just
enough obscurity that finishing a grid clean feels earned. But one grid takes
five minutes, and then you're staring at tomorrow. If your morning routine has
room for more sports trivia, these seven daily games scratch the same itch —
some are grids, some are mystery-player guessers, and all of them reward the

A mystery journeyman's career, revealed one jersey at a time. Each day you get
a player who bounced around the league, and his career unfolds as a spread of
trading-card jerseys — team colors, jersey number, years of each stint. The
fewer jerseys you need before naming him, the better your score. Where
Immaculate Grid tests whether you can produce a player who fits two criteria,

NBAMystery player
The original NBA Wordle, now run officially with the NBPA and named after
Jakob Poeltl himself. Eight guesses to find the mystery player; every guess
tells you whether you've matched his team, conference, division, position,
height, age, and jersey number, with a silhouette for the truly stuck. It
leans current-roster, so it plays faster and more forgiving than a grid.
NFLMystery player
The NFL's answer to Poeltl, named after safety Eric Weddle. Guess the mystery
player and get feedback on division, position, height, age, and jersey
number. Positional knowledge matters a lot here — narrowing down which of
thirty-two teams' depth charts you're fishing in is most of the game.
MLBMystery player
Formerly WARdle, rebranded to the much better name MLB Pickle. Nine guesses
at a mystery big-leaguer, with feedback on team, position, handedness, and
birth year. Baseball's enormous player pool makes this one genuinely hard on
deep-cut days — in a good way.
NBAGrid
The closest thing on this list to Immaculate Grid itself, but all basketball,
every day. Same 3×3 format — nine guesses, match players to the intersection
of two teams or a team and an award. If the NBA edition of Immaculate Grid is
your favorite, this doubles your supply.
Multi-sportGrid
A daily 3×3 grid that rotates across sports — and occasionally out of sports
entirely, with movie and pop-culture editions. The rarity scoring (uncommon
correct answers score better) pushes you past the obvious superstar answer,
which is where grid games get fun.
NHLGrid
The hockey grid. Nine cells, two criteria each, and a player pool full of
